Welcome to the Kuringai Youth Orchestra

The Kuringai Youth Orchestra (KYO) is a youth orchestra based in Sydney's upper North Shore.
KYO is open to talented players from secondary school and beyond who are at least AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent (Grade 7 for string players). New players will be required to audition.
The aim of KYO is to provide local school and tertiary students with the experience of performing classical and contemporary orchestral music. The orchestra will be working on a range of music at rehearsals with the intention of performing both a midyear and end of year concert.
Rehearsals are held in the Ku-ring-gai Town Hall in Pymble on Thursday nights (school term time only) from 6.30 - 8.30pm.
The orchestra is incorporated as a not-for-profit association and run by an elected committee. Please contact us if you wish to become a member of the association or are able to help with the organisation of the orchestra. Please contact us also if you would like to receive reminders of our upcoming concerts.
The orchestra is also listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations. If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation, please contact us. Sponsorship is also invited and welcomed.
